Mount Cisowa is one of the most recognizable peaks in Suwalki Landscape Park, often called the "Suwalki Fujiyama" due to its regular, conical shape. It is also known as "Mountain Gulbieniszkowska " or "Mountain of piles" – a name derived from a folk legend according to which the mountain was formed from earth excavated from the site of today's Lake Kopane. Its current name – Mountain Cisowa – most likely comes from the massive yew that once grew on its summit. Geologically, it is a classic terminal moraine, rising to a height of 256 meters above sea level. From the summit, an impressive panorama of the Szeszupa Valley unfolds – a mosaic of lakes, peat bogs, meadows, and hills characteristic of the post-glacial landscape of the Suwalki region. It is an excellent place to admire the unique natural beauty and photograph one of the most beautiful views in the region.
