In the heart of the Romincka Forest, near the border between Poland and Russia, lie the Wilhelm II boulders – 14 boulders (8 on the Polish side) commemorating the emperor's hunting grounds. The most famous of them, the Two Thousand Boulder, commemorates the elk that Wilhelm II hunted in 1912. The boulders bear German inscriptions with dates and the number of antler points, some of which can be seen when visiting the Wilhelm Trail. This is a unique combination of history and nature, perfect for lovers of walking and local legends.
