The Ełk Water Tower is one of the city's most beautiful and recognizable structures, today considered its architectural symbol. The five-story structure is distinguished by its interesting form – the lower floors are designed on an octagonal plan and decorated with rustication and a massive entrance portal. The building is crowned by a striking domed roof with dormers and a lantern.
The former waterworks tower now serves as a tourist attraction. It houses the "Drop of Water Museum," which reflects the building's original purpose. Visitors can view exhibits related to the history of Ełk and the region, and admire the city panorama from the observation deck. Thanks to its nighttime illumination, the tower looks impressive even after dark.
