Discover the history, nature, and conservation efforts of Lithuania’s first protected area at the Visitor Centre of Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve. The Centre features the exhibition Žuvintas – Land of Birds, offering insight into the Reserve’s rich birdlife. Visitors can also enjoy an observation tower with stunning panoramic views of Lake Žuvintas and its surroundings, equipped with telescopes for a closer look at the wildlife. For a more immersive experience, take a stroll along the Žuvintas Nature Trail, where you can hear and observe the ever-bustling lake ecosystem. The best time for birdwatching is early morning. Access to the nature trail is free for individual visitors. The trail is open only during daylight hours, from sunrise to sunset. Parking is available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Access to other areas of the Žuvintas Nature Reserve requires a permit.
Additionally, visitors can watch a documentary film about the Reserve’s natural wonders.
