Suwalki Landscape Park is the oldest landscape park in Poland. Located in the northeastern part of the country, in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, right on the border with Lithuania, the park encompasses the picturesque Suwałki Lake District and is one of the most beautiful and distinctive Polish landscapes, with numerous lakes, hills, and valleys.
Within its boundaries lie Lake Hancza, the deepest lake in Poland, as well as unique geological formations such as the Bachanowo Boulder Field. The park is a wildlife haven, home to species such as the lesser spotted eagle, wolf, and otter.
In addition to the rich natural environment, many elements of traditional culture have been preserved here: old villages, wooden chapels and traces of the region's multicultural history.
This area was once inhabited by Polish, Lithuanian and Russian people, which gives it a unique, multicultural character.
The park offers numerous hiking, cycling and educational trails, ideal for nature lovers and active recreation.
