ŠILELIS EDUCATIONAL TRAIL

The Šilelis Educational Trail is a 3.4 km circular route located in the Vištytis Regional Park, leading along the picturesque lakeshore. Here, you can admire the cliffs rising up to 50 meters high, discover the "Witch's Broom," the tallest spruce of Vištytis, hollow trees, the Sacred Spring, and the mysterious sufozian circus. At the farthest point of the trail, you will find the "View of Rominta Forest," which offers a stunning panorama of the most sacred and highly protected ancient Baltic Holy Forest. The trail is marked with signs, and informational panels introduce you to the natural and cultural values of the area. There are resting places, benches, campsites, and even a barefoot section of the trail. For those who prefer a shorter walk, there is a 2.4 km route suitable for a more peaceful stroll.
