The exhibition unveils the theme of glaciers through a stylized representation of the Park’s terrain, creatively formed on the ceiling and seamlessly connecting every corner of the Visitor Centre. The landscape, shaped by the last ice age, symbolizes the Park’s distinctive outcrops and the flat-bottomed valleys of the Erla, Salantas, and Minija Rivers. Boulders and lichen motifs create a natural ambiance. Lichens growing on stones symbolize longevity, narrating the environmental transformations that have taken place over thousands of years. Visitors are introduced not only to the unique nature of this region but also to its rich cultural heritage. Here, you can listen to the authentic Samogitian dialect, learn about traditional architecture, and explore the region’s archaeological treasures. An interactive game allows guests to shape the landscape of the region themselves, discover the natural wonders of Salantai Regional Park, and engage with its most defining feature – the boulders. For those seeking a challenge, there is even an opportunity to test their strength by attempting to “compress” a stone! We warmly welcome all curious explorers eager to immerse themselves in the nature and culture of Salantai Regional Park!
