The Rospuda River Valley is a unique European ecosystem of rivers, ribbon lakes, and low-lying peat bogs, stretching over 70 km from Lake Rospuda Filipowska to Augustów. This legally protected Natura 2000 area enchants with its primeval landscape of a meandering river, which serves as a sanctuary for rare plants and wildlife, including wolves and lynx. The Rospuda River is one of the most famous kayaking routes in Poland. The trail is enriched by historical towns: Raczki, with its historic urban layout, and Dowspuda, famous for the ruins of Count Pac's neo-Gothic palace. The entire route offers tourists and kayakers a unique combination of wild Suwałki nature and the region's fascinating cultural heritage.
