Housed in the historic cellar of Plateliai Manor Estate, the Centre of Traditional Crafts began its activities in 2012 and later expanded. The cellar restoration was completed in 2017, enhancing the space for workshops and exhibitions.
The Centre preserves and promotes traditional crafts such as weaving, wood carving, blacksmithing, cross crafting, egg decorating, knitting, food preparation, basket weaving, sewing, embroidery, spinning (textiles), wool felting, candle making, and herbalism.
It employs 13 certified traditional artisans, 5 of whom are certified masters of traditional crafts, along with an additional 26 artisans who contribute to preserving and promoting heritage crafts.

The Centre of Traditional Crafts at Plateliai Manor Estate has to two craft clubs: Wood Carving Club (led by A. Vaškys) and Weaving Club (led by L. Puidokienė and A. Kuprelytė).
