Gołdap is the northernmost town in Masuria and the only health resort in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It is renowned for its exceptionally clean air and extensive tourism and health-related offerings.
The spa section houses the Masurian Salt Graduation Towers – the fourth largest in Poland. The complex is 8 meters high and 220 meters long. The brine is extracted from a depth of 646 meters and flows down blackthorn twigs, creating a healing spray rich in minerals: iodine, bromine, magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium, and fluoride.
The graduation towers, along with the pump room, salt cave, and mini graduation towers in the park, constitute the health and recreation center of Gołdap. The healing water is certified by the Ministry of Health and is used in drinking therapies, among other things.
The facility is very popular year-round. Admission to the graduation tower is free, and from the observation deck on one of the towers you can admire the panorama of the spa town.
