Piekna Gora (272 m above sea level), also known as Goldap Mountain, is one of the highest peaks in the Szeskie Hills and one of the best viewpoints in the region. Its summit offers a sweeping panorama of Goldap, the Garbate Mazury region, the Romincka Forest Landscape Park , and the surrounding lakes. It borders Gora Zamkowa ( Castle Mountain) , where remains of a Yatvingian stronghold can be found.
In winter, it becomes a popular ski resort with five trails totaling 2 km, artificial snowmaking, floodlights, and a snow park . There's also a chairlift (the only one in northeastern Poland) and ski and snowboard schools.
At the summit, there's a unique revolving café, from which you can admire the surrounding landscape in 50 minutes while enjoying a coffee or tea. A rope park is also open in summer, and the mountain is a great destination for walks and family outings.
It is an ideal place for active recreation all year round – both for skiers and lovers of nature and views.
