Join us for a fascinating journey into the ancient Easter traditions and rituals, discovering their deep-rooted significance in Lithuanian culture. Participants will explore the history of traditional Lithuanian Easter eggs (Lith. margučiai), learning about Baltic symbols, intricate patterns, and ornaments. In the hands-on session, they will master the art of decorating eggs using the traditional wax-resist technique. Each participant will decorate two eggs, which they will later dye in their chosen colours. This workshop encourages the preservation and sharing of age-old traditions, passing them down through generations.
