The Stańczyki Bridges are two monumental railway bridges built between 1917 and 1918, located in Gołdap County, over the Błędzianka River . They were part of the now-disused Gołdap–Żytkiejmy railway line and are often called the "Aqueducts of the Romincka Forest " due to their architecture reminiscent of Roman aqueducts. Each bridge is 180 meters long and up to 36.5 meters high, making it among the tallest in Poland.
The southern bridge was completed in 1917, the northern in 1918. The railway line operated until 1945. Initially, three pairs of passenger trains ran through the area, and on weekends, due to the region's growing popularity among tourists, a fourth pair was launched. The Błędzianka area was frequented by anglers, mushroom pickers, and skiers. Freight trains also ran along the route, primarily carrying timber from the surrounding forests.
The bridges are now a tourist attraction and a destination for those interested in railway history and the Romincka Forest. The site is privately owned, and admission is charged.
